Making Tax Digital – Public Pilot Pushed Back!

Delay. HMRC was supposed to open its pilot for Making Tax Digital for VAT (MTDfV) to all affected businesses in the summer of 2018, but it has now been announced that this won’t happen until “later in the year”.

So what does this mean?

This means that there will be even less time to get used to the platform before it becomes mandatory from April 2019.

HMRC has identified 18 software providers as being compliant with the MTDfV requirements already.
